San Cesareo Bianchello del Metauro
€ 9.40
This ancient vine, Bianchello, also called Biancame, is grown exclusively on the hills of the Metauro river.
Mythological wine because Tacitus, philosopher and writer of imperial Rome, mentions it as responsible for the defeat of Hasdrubal by the Roman legions in the battle in 207 BC, fought right near this river. Bianchello has represented for my family of winemakers and still represents for me, a third generation winemaker, the symbolic vine to which a lifetime of work has been dedicated.
The work carried out has led to identifying territories on which to plant vineyards with different characteristics from each other, capable of giving grapes and wines with a strong personality and to experiment with advanced winemaking techniques in winemaking with the production of wine in reduction and cryomaceration.
This wine was born from passion, research and technology:
SAINT CAESAREUS 2022
Bianchello del Metauro Doc
This wine is obtained from grapes from different vineyards located on hills that reach the Apennines from the Adriatic Sea with heights ranging from 80 to 250 meters above sea level. The sirocco, libeccio (garbino), mistral and tramontana winds together with the strong and diversified exposure to the sun, bring the grapes to optimal ripening.
Sensory Analysis:
Classic expression of Bianchello wine, to the eye it has a lively crystalline straw yellow color. The nose reveals floral notes of elderberry, acacia and yellow rose, fruity notes of peach, apple and white plum.
Pleasant fullness to the taste with marked freshness, persistent in the slightly vegetal and aromatic finish.
