The hills surrounding the town of Pesaro, situated in the north of the Marches Region, are areas characterized by great ancient history, traditions and memories connected to famous aristocratic families such as Da Montefeltro, Malatesta, Sforza and Della Rovere.

Those hills, made up of sand, tuff and clay, have vineyards in the middle of cultivated lands and woodlands, where the spring florescence gives a positive connotation to this area.

The grapevine assimilates the essence of this terroir enriching the grapes with substances which give the wine its strong personality.

The following wine is born on those hills:

Suffragium 2011

Marche IGT Rosso

This vineyard is called “Le Terrazze”. It is a terracing vineyard near the Adriatic Sea, positioned 100 meters above sea level, on a tuff and sand soil where the northeast wind called bora, the northwest wind (Maestrale) and the Tramontana, while caressing the vineyards, settle the sea salt; the hot and dry wind of libeccio, instead, makes the grapes perfectly ripe.

Sensory analysis

Ruby red colour with violet and purple glares. When you smell it, you recognize berries, blackcurrant, cherry, sour cherry, floral notes such as violet, withered red rose and even myrtle, with a final spicy tone.

When sipped it is fresh with savor and delicate tannins blending together and giving full-bodied balance. The ending taste is lively with smell notes of berries.
