The hills surrounding the town of Pesaro, situated in the north of the Marches Region, are areas characterized by great ancient history, traditions and memories connected to famous aristocratic families such as Da Montefeltro, Malatesta, Sforza and Della Rovere.

Those hills, made up of sand, tuff and clay, have vineyards located in the middle of cultivated lands and woodlands, where the spring florescence gives a positive connotation to this area.

The grapevine assimilates the essence of this terroir enriching the grapes with substances which give the wine its strong personality.

The following wine is born on those hills:

La Vigna delle Terrazze 2014

Colli Pesaresi Sangiovese Doc

Terraced vineyard near the Adriatic Sea, situated 100 metres above sea level, on a tuff – sand soil on which the bora, the north-east wind, the maestrale, the northwest wind and the tramontane deposit sea salt while blowing over the vineyards; at the same time the libeccio, a hot dry wind (garbino as the local people call it) makes the grapes ripen in the best way.

Ruby red wine. When smelled its fragrance is that of berries such as raspberry and cherry. Floral fragrances of violet, red rose and myrtle. When tasted, it is fresh, soft and its smooth tannins bestow perfect balance. Savoury and well full-bodied with intense final persistence reminding pleasant touches of spice.
